Davis Delivery is a common and contract carrier based in Buford, Georgia, and we’ve been moving freight across Atlanta and North Georgia since 1985. We run LTL and truckload, next-day and same-day, on our own trucks with our own drivers. The fleet is 26-foot box trucks, every one with a liftgate, and 53-foot tractor-trailers. Some of our 32-foot and 53-foot trailers have liftgates too.
LTL Services
One pallet or ten, priced by freight class and weight. We offer inside delivery, after-hours windows and will-call, and liftgate service is a flat $50. Final mile is our specialty, with a 99.9% on-time arrival record.
Truckload Services
Full loads anywhere in Georgia on 53-foot trailers, priced by the hour or by the load. Past about ten pallets, truckload usually beats LTL. A 53-foot trailer holds 24 pallets floor-loaded, up to 44,000 lb.
Liftgate delivery
Every box truck in our fleet has a liftgate. The service is a flat $50, and a residential delivery is a further $50, so a home delivery with a liftgate is $100, quoted before the truck rolls.
Dedicated Services
Trucks and drivers that run only for you, as many as your routes need. You control the pickups and deliveries; we handle customer service, compliance, insurance, safety and driver recruiting.
Warehouse Distribution
A 70,000-square-foot warehouse in Buford with 13 dock doors. It isn’t climate controlled, but it’s heated so it never drops below freezing. Storage is billed per pallet, per month, and we can build custom software around your account.
Pallet Delivery Service
One pallet to a house, a storefront or a job site without a dock. Our drivers lower it with the liftgate, and you get the full price before the truck rolls, plus any waiting time.

What comes with every delivery
Your freight rides on a Davis truck with a Davis driver the whole way. We own our trucks and employ our drivers directly. Our drivers average 10+ years with us. You can follow the truck in real time, and when it arrives you get electronic proof of delivery with the signature, the time and photos.
Our on-time arrival record is 99.9%. Our damage claim rate runs under 1 percent — a fraction of the 2-5 percent industry average — because most freight is handled once at pickup and once at delivery, not shuffled through multiple terminal transfers. How pricing works
- LTL is priced by freight class and weight.
- Truckload is priced by the hour or by the load.
- Liftgate service is a flat $50, and residential delivery a further $50 — $100 all in, quoted before the truck rolls. The same delivery at published minimums elsewhere: $150 at Estes, $220 at Old Dominion, $339 at Saia and $450 at both FedEx Freight and R+L.
- If the truck has to wait at a pickup or delivery, the first 30 minutes are free. After that it’s $1 a minute, billed to the actual minute, with a $30 minimum.
- Warehouse storage is billed per pallet, per month, with a separate handling fee for the in and out.

More ways we move freight
- Final mile. The last leg to your customer’s door is most of what we do.
- Same-day delivery. Call before noon and we’ll have a truck on the way within 60 minutes.
- Cross-dock. Freight comes in one door and goes out another. Release an order by 10 AM and it can ship the same day.
