In addition to our core LTL final mile operation, Davis Delivery runs a specialized tile and flooring delivery program serving distributors, showrooms, and job sites across the greater Atlanta area.

We run daily scheduled routes for major tile brands and regional flooring distributors — moving pallets of tile, hardwood, LVP, stone, and installation materials from distribution points in Norcross, Roswell, and across metro Atlanta to showrooms and contractors throughout North Georgia.

Tile and flooring freight is heavy, fragile, and unforgiving of sloppy handling. Our drivers are trained specifically for palletized building materials — proper strapping, careful loading, and liftgate delivery to locations that rarely have loading docks.

What tile and flooring shippers get:

We serve customers including national tile manufacturers, regional flooring distributors, commercial flooring contractors, and independent showrooms.

What we move

Tile, hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, stone and installation materials, palletized for showrooms, job sites and homes. Stone slabs travel upright on A-frames.

Fewer hands on the freight

Most flooring damage doesn’t happen on the highway. It happens when the freight is handled: a forklift tine through a box of tile, a corner crushed during a terminal transfer, a pallet rebuilt to fit someone else’s trailer. On a national LTL network your pallet can pass through three or four terminals. On our routes it’s handled once at pickup and once at delivery. That’s the reason behind our under 0.5 percent damage claim rate on flooring freight.

Showrooms, job sites and homes

Proof at every drop

Every delivery is documented with electronic proof of delivery: the date and time, the signature and printed name of the person signing, and photos. If a box arrives damaged, the driver notes it on the spot with photos and comments, so a claim starts with evidence.

Storage between the distributor and the job

Our Buford warehouse has 70,000 square feet and 13 dock doors. It isn’t climate controlled, but it’s heated, so nothing in it freezes. Storage is billed per pallet, per month, and an order released by 10 AM can ship the same day.

What it costs

LTL is priced by freight class and weight, and truckload by the hour or by the load. Liftgate service is a flat $50, against published liftgate minimums of $75 to $235 at most national carriers, billed by weight from there.
